Professional DVB tuner for radio and television

COMM-TEC is very pleased to announce the latest generation in our long series of successful ProTUNE models, the ProTUNE III.

The ProTUNE III is available in two versions: as a dual satellite tuner (DVB-S/S2) and a dual cable and terrestrial tuner (DVB-C / T). It has an HDMI output with parallel stereo analog sound available. One of the two tuner modules is supplying the program for the HDMI out. The second tuner module provides its signal to a USB interface for recording.

Now matter how we use the 2 programs, both can be streamed to a network as UDP streams to a maximum of 15 streaming clients using UPnP. The stream can eaven be sent via WiFi to iOS / Android panels or smartphones. PCs with standard software like MCE, VLC or similar free of charge applications can be used as well without any problems.

The control of the tuner is done by web interface or CLI, namely bidirectional. Thus, media controls as AVIT Control, RTI and many others are in a position to integrate ProTUNE III seamlessly into a professional enterprise environment.

The ProTUNE HD is a HDTV-Tuner, to receive digital TV and digital radio over satellite (DVB-S2) or over Cable (DVB-C)

The bi-directional RS-232 and Ethernet port allows you to control the ProTUNE HD by external control systems like AMX®, Crestron®, Stardraw Control®, Medialon®, RTI® or Extron®.
With the bi-directional ports you can visualize status information like the current channel, the program name or EPG information on a Touch panel of a control system.
Setup can be done by the included IR Remote control or by the easy to use front panel.
The tuner is designed for use in presentation rooms, training and seminar facilities, schools, universities, hotels or in a home cinema.

ProTUNE HD / C is the cable receiver

Important Note of Cable Receivers:
Depending on the regional cable operators it can occur that the ProTUNE HD /C show limited or not any TV station.
This happens because some cable operators encrypt only a view or all stations.
Depending on the cable operator you can use for example an AlphaCrypt CAM-Modul together with a Smartcard of the cable operator to show the encrypted content. Some cable operators sell there own cable receivers and do not allow the use of other receivers.
Please check together with your customer if the regional cable operator allows the use of other cable receivers.
